1. Library Resources

college library provides information to the library users. Library resources, Reference Books, Text Books, Competitive Exam Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, are available in the library.


2. Library Collection

college library has 14231 printed books and subscribes 38 journals /Periodicals and 08 Newspapers. The Library also entries with Reference books, CD’s /DVD Glob, Maps (world, India & Maharashtra) Atlas are also available in the library.


3. Library Facilities

Library has a computerized database and makes use of standard university Aurangabad LMS Library Management Software. It also provides access to UGC Infonet Remote Access Dr. BabasahebAmbedkarMarathawada University Aurangabad (Mobile Library) and the Inflibnet N-list programme. OPAC and bar-coding facilities are also available in the Library. The College also has a Computer Lab for student use.



Library Aims and Objectives

1. Extend support to teaching, learning, and research initiatives of the college.
2. Provide career employment information resources to the users.
3. Provide access to the internet, OPAC, and e-resources.
4. Create a suitable ambiance for optimum usage of library resources.
5. Assist in retrieval of reading material and e-resources.
6. Be of service to the neighboring community, senior citizens, and alumni by extending the available information resources.


Library Rules

1. Membership: Students and eligible members of the college are permitted to use any of the library facilities. The following persons will be eligible to be a member of the library:
- Council of College of Science.
- Teaching and non-teaching staff of College Khultabad.
- Contributors, teachers, and staff of College Khultabad.
- Students who have enrolled their names in College Khultabad.
- Other persons admitted with special reference to the principal.

2. Library Rules:
  1. 1. Library and Reading Room is open to all students and members of the college.
  2. 2. Strict silence should be maintained in the Library and Reading Room.
  3. 3. Every student should bear his/her identity card.
  4. 4. Book must be retained for a period not exceeding seven days.
  5. 5. Books can be renewed on the request and discretion of the Librarian.
  6. 6. Failure to return a book in time attract fine of Rs.1/- per day from the date of the book was due.
  7. 7. Making or writing on a book with ink or pencil or tearing or taking pages off constitutes violation of library rules. Any such activity will be treated as a serious offence.
  8. 8. If the borrower finds the books in a bad condition he/she should bring it to the notice of the Librarian before being issued.
  9. 9. The Librarian reserves the right to recall any book at any time.
  10. 10. Every student can use any type of books i.e. Reference, Text, Encyclopedias,Dictionary,Periodicals/Journals and Newspapers in the Reading Room.
  11. 11. Reading Room remains open from 09:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.

Library Architecture

The college library is located on the second floor and consists of a Reading Room section, Circulation section, Periodicals sections, reference & competitive section, Librarian’s cabin, and Digital Library.


Users

The library serves all the students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate), teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff. The college has approximately 3500 Undergraduate students, 350 Postgraduate students, 46 teaching staff, and 31 non-teaching staff.


Collection

The library houses 14231 books at present. It subscribes to 38 journals and periodicals related to subjects and recreational magazines. It also subscribes to 07 newspapers in English, Hindi, and Marathi as per the needs of UG & PG students and staff.

Library Timing

  • On working days, the library is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
  • The issuing counter is open for the students from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. daily.
  • Reading Room is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. During examination periods, timing is extended until 7.30 p.m.
  • Reading Room is kept open on Sundays and public holidays from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. during the examination period.
  • During the period of vacation, the library is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
